Paylap Pets ("we", "our", "us") operates a platform to browse, list, and adopt/buy pets, report animal rescues, and access related pet-care services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across our website and app (including WebViews using the same endpoints).

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email (optional), phone number, and phone OTP.
  • Authentication data: access/refresh tokens via Laravel Passport for API v1.
  • Mobile OTP data: phone number and verification status for login/registration.
  • Profile details: city, address (including Google-formatted address if provided).
  • Pet listing & rescue data: details, images, and location metadata.
  • Messages: conversations between users about pets and rescues.
  • Logs and diagnostics: IP address, device/browser info, and usage analytics for security and debugging.

How we use data

  • To create and secure your account (email/password and OTP flows).
  • To authenticate requests to our API (/api/v1) and maintain sessions.
  • To enable pet listing, browsing, search, rescue coordination and messaging.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and ensure user safety.
  • To communicate important updates and respond to support queries.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only as necessary with service providers (e.g., storage, email/SMS) and as required by law. Public pet listings and anonymized metrics may be visible to other users.

Data retention

We retain account, listings, and message data for as long as your account is active or as needed for legal and security obligations. You may request deletion of your account and related data subject to lawful exceptions.

Your choices

  • Access and update your profile in the app/website.
  • Withdraw consent and request account deletion.
  • Control communications via notification preferences.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and token-based authentication. No method is 100% secure; please report any issues to us.
